Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso 2023 CS20230718 La Grande Dame is Veuve

La Grande Dame is Veuve Clicquot's prestige cuvée

A grown-up red for people who love Bordeaux but want it with a little California sunshine

planting them high in granite soils at 400 meters

but more rounded from the sandy soils

Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso 2023 CS20230718 La Grande Dame is VeuveLe Macchiole made its name on three of Bolgheri's most coveted single varietal reds Paleo (Cabernet Franc), Messorio (Merlot), and Scrio (Syrah). The Bolgheri Rosso is the estate's accessible blend, drawing from the same farming and the same cellar but in a more open, immediate register. Cinzia Merli has carried on her late husband Eugenio Campolmi's vision with characteristic precision. This is the entry into Le Macchiole's world and a delicious one.
